This problem has not been quite as prevalent on the 5th generation trucks, but customers have been asking for kits to protect their trucks just the same!
After the driveshaft or transfer case breaks free, the loose driveshaft is likely toĀ come through the cab floor, and/orĀ rupture nearby fuel/brake/transmission lines,Ā causing fireĀ in some cases.
This driveshaft loop will not prevent driveshaft failures butĀ will protect from secondary damage in the event of a failure.
It is still recommended to grease and inspect your driveshaft frequently.
This kit features laser cut, powder coated 1/4" plate steel construction, includes instructions, and all necessary high-tensile hardware.
